Tv series – 20 x 2′ – production
Music Queer tells the story of LGBTQIA+ recognition and demands through the great hits of popular song. From Juliette Gréco (Les Pingouins) to Lil Nas X (Montero) and David Bowie (Ziggy Stardust), there is a musical history of queer culture. In particular, it allows us to recount the major stages of public visibility. First male and then female homosexuality are alluded to in a way that only insiders notice (Charles Trenet and his Jardin Extraordinaire or Little Richard and Tutti frutti). They are then affirmed (Frankie goes to Hollywood with Relax), proud and powerful despité the Aids years (Gloria Gaynor, I will Survive) or the bearers of demands (Lay Gaga with Born this Way ). Music Queer allows a grand narrative of conquests, which accompanies and sometimes precedes social changes.
